Welcome to The Community Manager 2.0.

It’s been a number of years since we’ve made any updates to the website, but we’re glad to be back! The Community Manager role is bigger than ever, and has evolved quite a bit over the handful-plus amount of years since our last post. New programs, social media networks, and platforms have changed the way we work and communicate both online and offline. We hope to cover many of these topics from this point on.

There are also a number of new changes pertaining to The Community Manager to be announced.

1. David DeWald and I will be co-running the site, but in different roles. David will helm a role that’s more senior and engagement-focused, while I will serve on the administrative side of things. While this is the same URL and same concept, we’d like to thank our former team, Cali Harris and Jenn Pedde, for their amazing work! They helped build/create a great brand and concept when we first launched in 2011, and will continue to value their work moving forward.

2. We’re bringing back #CmgrChat to both Twitter and a virtual meeting format (whether on Google Meet or a different platform). If you’d like to help, please get in touch!

3. As we continue to build this next phase, you’ll see many new features and concepts coming to the site. We’re always building and developing new ideas and concepts to keep our readers engaged.

We look forward to seeing you around!
