The Community Manager#CMGRChat has been around since September 2010 and that’s pretty much an eternity in the world of Twitter chats! Kelly and I are really excited that people continue to come and discussion topics related to the community industry each week.  The numbers don’t lie either (#cmgrchat numbers courtesy of Keyhole Metrics), over 500 people per month use #cmgrchat, and each week the chat gets anywhere between 80 and 120 people on Wednesdays for our 2PM EST meeting.

This year we decided to try something new. We themed out the twelve months of the year, and broke down a topic for every week.  So far this year we’ve tackled:

  • Defining the role of the community manager in January/February as it corresponded to the topics of the CMX Summit
  • Exploring the Types of Community in March
  • Outlining Community Strategy in April

Today’s topic is on Identifying Tools to Use when building a strategy, but as we enter May, we’ll be diving into the topic of “User Experience.”  And for the first time in our four years, we’re going to let you know about the topics ahead of time. We believe that #CMGRChat has largely been so successful because of the real time conversation that happens without much preparation by those who participate, but we’re willing to shake things up a bit to see how it might enhance the hour.

Without further ado, here are the upcoming topics for the next 6 weeks as we talk about User Experience in a Community.  Have burning questions you’d like to see us ask in these chats? Email us at info@thecommunitymanager.com or leave them below in the comments.
